Something Unexpected

I don’t know how to say this in a gentle way.  Havi died yesterday.

Havi lived life with all of her strength.  She died with dignity.

We are asking that you send no flowers.  If you would like to remember Havi with a donation to the Central Oklahoma Humane Society that would make her very happy.

We are working to get a link to their website and they are working to get a page for Havi on their website.

Havi is in Heaven.  She is no longer fighting to live.  She did not suffer.

I’ll post again as soon as I can finalize the arrangements with the Central Oklahoma Humane Society.

Please pray.

If there is anything else, besides my prayers and a donation to the Humane Society that would give you comfort, please let me know. Despite our distance, I have you close in thoughts at this time of unbelievable grief. Love as always.

What wonderful memories when you lived in Washington. I have so many pictures of Havi. Decorating cookies, playing in the back yard, sniffing on a rose, playing with Ashley. I am blessed to have been a part of your short life. Thank you for your strength. I learned so much through you about faith . Love Leanne, Steve & Ashley

    Leland & Deborah,
It is hard to write this because I can not see through the tears..
You have been in our thoughts and prayers for the last few weeks
when the updates ceased and forgive us for not calling to find out
how things were. We have prayed continually for the three of you.
We are here if you need us..please call if there is anything we can
do for you. We love you both and are so grateful for the time we
got to spend with the three of you in Oklahoma City.
    Love,

Heaven is richer with Havi’s presence. My prayer now is that you and Deborah will hold fast to one another as you come through this trial together.

  6. Leland & Deborah,
I was so sorry of hearing of Havi’s death. I had heard of Havi through Marland & Jennifer Thurman and had been following the updates. As pastor, I had kept First Lutheran informed and we kept she and her family in prayer. We will keep you in prayer. May the peace and comfort from our Lord be with you during the days ahead.

Words cannot even begin to express the way this family is feeling-especially the beloved parents. One thing I am positively sure of is that my granmother Eileen Wagner was there to greet Havi when her grand entrance was made. I had a dream last night and Havi told me, ” I am safe. Everything will be alright, and do not worry!” And with that I let her go leaving only the wonderful joyous moments she gave all of us. Havi we will miss you greatly, and please tell my “mi-maw” hello for me and give the both of you a big kiss!!! mwah!!!! as always the family is in our prayers!!!!

Leland and Deborah, God does work in mysterious ways. We only got to meet Deborah and Havi just last year at our “Uncle Tiny Reunion”. I got to know more about your precious Angel by this very blog. It was like a drug for me….I had to read it every day and check it numerious times a day just so I could get to know more and more about her. You told me she was an Angel on this earth and I believe it. Family, there is nothing like it. We may not be close but we know the love of our family will be forever. God gave us the chance to meet this dear Angel before it was too late. For this I am very thankful. And, for this reason I want to say I Love You, while I have the chance. Cuz’ Vickie

I am so very sorry for your loss. Heaven has gained such a special angel. May you remember the times she was well and happy, you will all be reunited when the time is right.
The Humane Society will be greatly blessed by sweet Havi. My prayers will continue for your peace with your loss.

    Deborah and Leland-
Broken hearted – I knew again how that feels when I got the news of Havi’s passing.

Havi’s life was so special… her relationship with Lilly, who was almost bigger than Havi… her perspective on the guy at the gun show… watching her watch the roofers on your house… how she cherished you two… she knew she was loved.

My prayers remain with Havi and your family,
    Love,
    Betsy

I am so very sorry to hear of Havi’s passing. I looked forward seeing her each day on my way to pick up Alex from After Care and was always happy to get my high five from her. She will be missed terribly.

There are not words sufficient to express how sorry I am for the loss of your child. I met Deborah through James Siderias. I have a daughter with a congenital heart defect also. You are amazing parents and God has taken an amazing child home to him. I’ve read the previous posts on thus site and cannot tell you how much they have meant to me. If there is anyway I can help your family in this time of incredible grief, other than saying prayers, please let me know. God does have a plan and life whether short or otherwise is not random. Havi’s story has certainly impacted my family for the rest of our lives-whether they be short or of normal expectancy. Thank you for sharing Havi through this blog. May God keep you close and bless you richly through the coming times.
